Études Wonder International Blue Tee

$130.00 13000

For years Études based a lot of their brand's identity alongside a very particular shade of blue. This blue was often referred to as "Études Blue" which whilst iconic isn't really correct because there's a whole world of textile & ink colours that are standardised most famously by Pantone.

Through the years Études has started to phase out the heavy use of their signature hue, instead using it to signify their core range (Études Blue) as well as having it pop up from time to time in the seasonal range.

This tee features the moniker "International Études Blue", a nod to French artist Yves Klein whose practice saw him create his own official shade in the 1960s. Referred to as "International Klein Blue" or IKB, you can see where the overlap comes from.

Following that trail of crumbs brings us to the seemingly cryptic code "19-3952" embroidered under the print on this tee, which is actually the Pantone textile colour code. So now we can tell you that this t-shirt is indeed Surf The Web blue.
