So if you google the name "Sylvian" it brings up the bio of English musician David Sylvian of the British new wave band Japan. Looking at the style of those guys it's actually highly likely that this is the exact inspiration behind these trousers. The super tapered cut, slight crop & pleats lend themselves to the iconic look at the early to mid-80s. Add in a pair of thin white socks & a slim black loafer topped with a heavily shoulder-padded blazer & you'd be hard pressed to know what era you're in. It's odd how small people's feet looked during that time, was it the shoes or have people's feet just exploded in size in the last 30 years?

Bringing things back on-topic, the trousers are made from a very distinctive tartan fabric that hides an extra secret in that it's actually a seersucker fabric. This adds an extra level of detail that most will never realise unless they get a chance to grab a handful of your pant fabric. There's also a seam running down the center of the leg, quite unusual but again an extra added detail that had it not been there you'd never even think twice about it.

  • Cotton seersucker fabric made in Italy
  • Elastic waistband with Corozo button fly
  • Back flap pocket
  • Deep double pleating
  • Garment made in Poland

Wide cropped fit, we recommend taking your regular waist size.
