Joe Bit Loafer Pitone
$290 $150The loafer is one hell of a thing.
The term “loafers” was born out of an Esquire magazine story in the 1950’s detailing popular-at-the-time “Norwegian Moccasin” shoes photographed on the feet of Norwegian farmers in a cattle loafing area (side note, never knew this was a term until researching this).
The "Bit Loafer" as seen here was created by Gucci in 1953. The design was inspired by the horse saddlery that the house had been famous for manufacturing. Sebago offers their own take on this classic with a sturdier interpretation compared to that of the Italian luxury house.
This particular pair also sports a good helping of Pitone; Italian for "Python", which makes sense when you consider the entire shoe is finished in leather that's embossed with reptilian pattern.
Python print stamped leather uppers
Stacked leather sole with rubber heel cap for grip
Polished gold tone hardware
hand-sewn moccasin toe construction
Ortholite insoles for a more comfortable fit
These loafers fit large, we recommend taking a full size down from your regular sneaker size for a snug fit that will stretch after break-in.
Men's sizing, for women's add 1.5
For example Men's US7 = Women's US8.5
