Whilst the 1460 is where it began for Dr Marten's the 1461 made the shoe accessible to more people in 1961. With its lower construction and more conventional shoe shape it has been the staple of many subcultures young and old over the decades.
Constructed from the same custom sourced leather made in Northamptonshire England by expert cobblers as the originals. Built in a superior fashion to the Asian made models each detail on the UK made footwear is a step towards the tradition that has given Dr Marten's its iconic name.
